PATIENT SERVICES

Check up and clean

This is a general check-up and clean appointment in the comfort of the patients home or facility.

-Oral examination (including decay, gum disease, oral pathology, and denture assessment)
-Risk evaluation and facility/home care plan
-Calculus and plaque removal and polish
-Professional fluoride varnish application
-Professional denture cleaning
-Toothbrush replacement and oral health product samples
-Referral to preferred Dental surgery if required

Check up and clean for patients with full dentures

This is a general check-up and clean appointment in the comfort of the patients home or facility for people who have full upper and lower dentures. It is still very important for these patients to still have oral health care examinations and maintenance as many fungal, viral, or bacterial infections as well as oral cancer can form with full dentures.

-Oral examination (soft tissue examination, oral pathology, and denture assessment)
-Risk evaluation and facility/home care plan
-Professional denture cleaning
-Toothbrush replacement and oral health product samples
-Referral to preferred Dental surgery if required

Telehealth – Teledentistry
Senior Dental Care has joined the revolution of tele-health. With the recent restrictions and limitations around accessing individuals in aged care facilities tele dentistry can help many of those who would like professional advice on anything oral health. Our tele dentistry appointments are over the phone or via video conferencing if needed. 20 minutes are allocated to the appointment and they can be claimed on private health insurance and Department of Veteran Affairs.

FACILITY SERVICES

Oral health screening for all residents

Oral health screening for all residents in a facility ensures a base line is established and oral health can be monitored throughout their stay. An assessment form is completed and can then be accessed in the patients file by all carers. It will give facility staff the knowledge around what each individual will need to maintain a healthy mouth (i.e support with brushing, denture cleaning, mouth swabs, particular products to use etc).

An hourly rate is charged to the facility for this service and it can be repeated every quarter, biannually or annually.

Staff Training
Training packages are in the developmental stages. If this is something your facility would be interested in, please get in touch and a tailored session can be produced. Topics include but are not limited to:
-How to clean a residents teeth
-Dentures (different types, how to clean them, what’s normal and not normal)
-Oral health and dementia

Telehealth for all seniors - Videoconferencing

Senior Dental Care is now building a platform for tele-dentistry where facilities or individuals can purchase a consultation via video conference. To book a consultation please call 0417812660 and we will book you a time and email very simple clear instructions on how it is run. Each consult is charged at $70.00
